Turning Back the Pages Summer Day Camp

Registration

Registration is limited to children entering grades 3-6 in the fall of 2017.  Register prior to July 1st: cost is $20 per morning or $100 for the week (a discount of $25). Register between July 2 and August 1: cost is $25 per morning or $125 a week. You may register your child for as many mornings as you wish.  

To register your child, please contact the Village office. You may also register your child online and pay by credit card below.

Daily themes for 2017 (A Day in the Life)

Monday: “Wilderness Traveler":
Packing for the road, maps, beaded bracelets, travelling through the trails, role playing at the Tollgate House.

Tuesday: “Pioneer”
Mortar and pestle. laundry, quilt squares, candle making, egg collection, log cabin construction.

Wednesday: “Homesteader”
Members of the Meridian Garden Club will work with the campers, mechanical laundry, shelling and grinding corn,  livestock care.

Thursday: “Apprentice”
Economics of trade, metal punching, ornaments or lanterns, spinning, weaving and printing

Friday: “Townsperson”
Learn about valets, chambermaids, housekeepers working in an inn and tavern; weighing, measuring goods in general store, trading, ordering inventory, writing with pen ink and slates.

A mid-morning snack will be provided each day​.

Required Forms

Please download the forms below, and bring them with you on the first day of camp.  Extra forms will also be available at registration. Campers should be dropped off and picked up in front of the Schoolhouse.
