2019 Member Meetings ​

Meeting begin at at 3:00 pm and is typically held in the Village Chapel. Please visit our Home Page for the most up to date information about lecture speakers and topics and change of locations. Lectures are free and  open to the general public.

​Be a Tourist in Your Own Town

The Village will be open for this popular annual event sponsored by the Greater Lansing Convention and Visitors Bureau.

The Village will host an encampment by members the 42nd Royal Highlanders Regiment Grant's Company, an American Revolutionary war reenactment group.




CELEBRATE MERIDIAN/HERITAGE FESTIVAL
Saturday, June 27, 2020
11 am - 4pm


The Village will  be open and staffed by docents for this annual celebration of Meridian Township sponsored by the Meridian Township Parks and Recreation Department on behalf of the Meridian Downtown Development Authority.

​Free admission and parking.  Embrace Meridian Township's 175th anniversary by enjoying a day of pioneer food, entertainment, demonstrations, games, exhibits and activities for all ages including the Meridian Crafters' Marketplace and Farmers' Market in Central Park. Hosted by the Meridian Historical Village and the Meridian Township Parks & Recreation Department. Gift shop open.  More information available here.

Turning Back the Pages 
​Summer Day Camp for Children
Monday - Friday 

Aug. 3 - 7, 2020
​9 am - 12 noon

Register prior to July 1, and cost is $20 per child for each morning session ($100/week).  Register between July 2 and August 1,  cost is $25 per morning ($125/week).  Experience life as a pioneer child of the 1800s.  Activities will be appropriate for both boys and girls entering 3rd through 6th grade.  A snack will be provided each morning. Contact the Village office to register or visit our summer camp page for more information. Daily themes change yearly. Check website for posting of 2017 themes later this year.

Halloween in the Village
Saturday, October 31, 2020
​10 am – 2 pm

Village buildings will be open in conjunction with the "Meridian Celebrates Halloween" event.  Be sure to stop in the General Store for Halloween goodies for your trick or treaters!

Christmas in the Village
Sunday, Dec. 8, 2019
Village Buildings open, 2 pm - 4 pm, no charge
Community Christmas tree lighting at 4 pm

Join Santa and the Friends for an old-fashioned Christmas in the Village. Historic buildings will be open and decorated for the holidays.  Volunteers in period dress will share their Christmas traditions from days past. 
Gift shop will be open.
